The beautiful, leafy green village of Slaugham is small but bursting with character. It’s based around an attractive green and a large lake, on which sits a ruin of interest, Slaugham Place. This delightful Manor House was built sometime before 1579 and is a popular wedding venue with a stunning backdrop.
Of interest is the absence of overhead wires in the village, after they were removed at the request of Colonel Warren many years ago, who paid to have them all channelled underground.
In the heart of Slaugham is Heritage, a fine dining establishment opened by renowned chef and Michelin Star winner Matt Gillan, who transformed the beautiful Edwardian property into his flagship restaurant in 2018.
Situated about halfway between Horsham and Haywards Heath, Slaugham is in a fantastic commuter location, with easy access to both large towns, as well as to the A23.
