Nuthurst and Maplehurst area guide

These two villages are homes to two more historic Horsham pubs, The Black Horse in Nuthurst and White Horse in Maplehurst, that form a social hub for these popular, semi?rural villages. Within Nuthurst there is also St Andrews primary school, a Victorian part C of E funded school, with around 130 pupils and St Andrew church, appropriately set next door. The parish has also featured a scarecrow competition over recent years, with prizes for the most imaginative theme and hosts a number of social events, through the Nuthurst society including an annual fireworks display.

The village of Maplehurst has its heart set around the pub, but spreads out into a rural/farming community with larger, detached properties and estates set amongst this beautiful countryside. Just outside the village centre is Maplehurst Farm, that is a working Deer Farm, but also available for private hire and events.
